Our silver products, due to the product safety and other necessary measures, are not coated with any kind protective film to protect it from it's natural oxidation process. Silver jewelry tends to oxidise because of the humidity in the air. You might start to notice black spots on the surface or all silver piece starts to turn dark. This is completely normal.
In order to avoid this from happening it is recommended to keep your silver jewelry in a dry place, away from any moisture and humidity in the air.
How to clean silver and make it bright again
To clean your silver piece at home you need some baking soda, hot water and an old toothbrush. Put a few table spoons of baking soda in a ceramic or glass cup. Pour 2-3 table spoons of hot water in a cup with soda. Mix it thoroughly to have a watery paste. Place your silver piece in a cup, cover all the metal parts with soda paste you’ve just made and let it sit for an hour. After that take the silver piece and brush it with a toothbrush and the same soda paste. Rinse it with clean water. Repeat the process if necessary. Now your silver piece should be clean again.
Other silver cleaning methods
The other, most trusted method of bringing the silver it’s brightness would be to use a special silver brightener, which could be purchased in a specialty shops, or purchased online. You would need to dip the silver piece in this solution for just a few seconds to see the result. Silver brightener, if sealed and stored properly, would last your for a long time, and you could use this solution to clean all your silver jewelry at least for a couple of years.
